Paid Nonprofit Virtual Internships
Join us. Do work that matters!
Communities of color disproportionately bear environmental burdens. Without leaders who share the values of those communities, their challenges will remain. MobilizeGreen develops leaders who share the values of the communities most impacted by climate change.
The VirtualIntern, which is powered by MobilizeGreen, is launching the Building Capacity, Careers, & Community Internship Initiative, a cohort intern program that partners with nonprofits and other organizations to place college-level students in short-term, project-based virtual internships in communities across the country. The Initiative seeks to close the widespread “career experience” and “economic opportunity” gap for college-level students from underserved communities by removing barriers and helping them launch their careers through paid virtual internships.
As a virtual intern, you will be paired with a nonprofit organization and will gain real-world project-based learning, soft skills training, and career readiness development. The project driven internships will including the following projects:
Sustainability & The Environment
Environmental Justice
Community Engagement
Project Management
Finance & Operations
Marketing & Communications
Philanthropy & Fundraising
Data & Technology
Other
You may apply to work on up to 3 of the projects.
The internship is paid and requires an 8-week commitment. Stipends are between $5,400 - $7,360 for the program, depending on academic level. Interns must commit to full-time work during core business hours. You will receive ongoing training/professional development opportunities throughout the internship.
