Our Story
The VirtualIntern is powered by MobilizeGreen, a national nonprofit founded in 2014 to create pathways into green careers for the next generation of environmental leaders.
Since our founding, MobilizeGreen has been committed to building a more just and sustainable world by equipping young professionals with real-world experience in environmental, conservation, and sustainability careers.
For over a decade, we have connected passionate students with green careers, providing paid, hands-on internships that develop skills, expand career opportunities, and drive meaningful impact.
We have built this network alongside trusted partners, including the NBA Foundation, Kia, Walton Family Foundation, federal land management agencies, and local governments, among many others, to ensure that students—regardless of location or background—have access to skills-based, project-driven opportunities that create lasting change.
